Still image for this video
We received some lovely feedback from a Mum of a pupil in year 1 saying
"the class assembly this morning was absolutely fantastic"
"Well done Class D, well done Miss Davies and well done Cwmaber Infants in general."

Thank you for such lovely feedback - and a huge well done to all the pupils who took part and to all the parents who have supported us throughout the year - we couldn't do it without you!

Welcome to Class D!

We are a year 1/2 class and our teacher is Miss Davies.

Welcome back for the summer Term.

Our topic this term is The Great Outdoors and we will be looking at our surroundings around the village and the school. We will be going for a walk around the village and exploring various features and their uses.

As part of maths we will be collecting data and displaying it in various forms. We will look at the most, least and finding the difference. We will have a focus on measuring length and capacity.A Topic map with ideas from the children can be seen below.

Our value for the term is happiness and certificates will be awarded on a Friday.

We we will continue to use the ‘spelling attack’ approach to spellings and activities will be sent home with the learning log tasks on a Friday. There will be no formal spelling tests and spelling activities will be set depending on topic words and keys words specific to each individual child. These activities will be available on the links on the bottom of this page.
